Commit your actions to the Lord and your plans will succeed

Proverbs 16 : 3

Based on where you coming from about working, in many ways, life has shown us that schedules and plans should be the way to live for example in High School/Primary Schools there would be something called Timetables, where there’s a set of periods where each subject or module is attended at a specific time, in organisational committee meetings they would be forming event year plans. Plans give direction on where you’re moving towards however vision shows you the beforehand image of what you want everything to be like in the future based on the context.

We all have an image in our mind of what we want to see happen in our lives and that image of creation

However, I want to share with you something that will help you remember that throughout this entire year, you should develop a greater sense of focus on God and doing His will, for there are things God assures his people of.

Full reliance on God involves working out your faith

Let’s look at Jesus, He mostly depended on God every step of the way, some might be afraid and say,” Well, Jesus was travelling everywhere”. Yes, that is true. Matthew 8:20. This scripture shows you that even believers don’t have a rest with Jesus but there’s a promised rest (katapausis) for you, Hebrews 4: 6 “God’s rest is there for his people”, this is a rest where you are ease and state of peace.

It how Jesus among the crowd instructed his disciples to cross the lake on a boast, then one of the teachers of the religious law said “he’ll follow Jesus to wherever he goes and Jesus’ response is that

Matthew 8 Verse 21 “Foxes have dens to live dens the Son Of Man has no place to rest”

It may sound off however here’s what I want you to pick up from this scripture, a practice of full reliance on God.

How? Daily practice of 20 minutes of the Word will guide you to lean onto God more for just like Jesus his dependence on God truly is one of the key lessons of the scripture, many struggle with this because they still have ideas of wanting to take control of every situation, therefore for your process on how to trust on something more is by bringing to God. (Look at the Opening verse)

While typing this it came to mind how Jesus was always travelling from town to town, with his disciples, having little to no rest (as in sleep) at all, I would be filled with fatigue and then just want to rest in every boat ride.

Philippians 4:6 “Don’t worry anything instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done”

Jesus is with you.
